ABOUT MADHURI

Raaga Madhuri Music is a Carnatic vocal music academy for music lovers to learn, explore, and grow in the rich tradition of Carnatic music. Based in Fort Collins, Colorado, our academy offers both in-person and online group vocal lessons, making it easy for students across the country to access high-quality instruction. Open to children aged 5 and up, our programs are designed to build a strong musical foundation while nurturing a lifelong love for music.

The soothing power of music to calm the mind and uplift the spirit is well known. That’s why I strive to make each class relaxing, engaging, and fun, while maintaining a strong focus on perfection and progress. My approach involves patient guidance, repetitive corrections, and continuous encouragement, ensuring that students enjoy their learning experience while making meaningful progress.

 

My own musical journey began at age 10, sparked by a deep love for Carnatic music. I trained under the able guidance of several Gurus. After spending more than 10 years in the tech industry as a software developer, I chose to follow my heart and pursue music full-time. Teaching has allowed me to share the beauty of our ancient musical tradition with the next generation.

 

In addition to teaching, I run a YouTube channel – youtube.com/MadhuriMutyala – where I pay tribute to the legendary composers of Carnatic music by sharing their timeless compositions with music lovers around the world.
